Michelle Fiebke-Lang, Interim Principal at Way Elementary School, brings a wealth of experience from her 34-year tenure within the Walled Lake Consolidated School District. Her background spans teaching, administration, and various educational roles even after retirement. Notably, Michelle played a pivotal role in shaping curriculum, implementing positive behavior strategies, and establishing social-emotional support systems at both school and district levels. Her dedication to fostering a conducive learning environment extends to her initiation of the first school-owned Therapy Dog Program within WLCSD.

Michelle's educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-5), Science specialization (grades 6-8), and Adapted Physical Education, all from Western Michigan University. She also holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education and an Education Specialist degree from Oakland University.

Outside her professional achievements, Michelle embraces a rich family life, including a blended family of four adult children and cherished roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her commitment to values such as love, kindness, family, education, and community underscores her approachability and dedication as a servant leader.

Michelle looks forward to collaborating with the dedicated staff, students, and families at Way Elementary, united in the goal of cultivating a positive culture and empowering each student to excel and thrive. Here's to an exceptional school year ahead for our outstanding Wildcats!
