Grade 5 students in Deyar Nasiri's Newcomer's class engaged in a meaningful virtual event with multilingual author Saadia Faruqi to discuss Faruqi's book "Saving Sunshine", exploring themes of resilience, friendship, and cultural understanding.
Way Elementary students celebrated Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch Day by enjoying Michigan-grown apples together, an event hosted by the Bloomfield Hills School District Food Services Department, to promote healthy eating, support local farming, and connect food to classroom learning.

Superintendent Rick West celebrated March is Reading Month by sharing his love of reading with students across Bloomfield Hills Schools through classroom visits, a district-wide book reading, and a special event at the Bloomfield Township Public Library, all aimed at fostering a love of literacy.

Are you passionate about supporting our schools, advocating for students, and connecting parent leadership across the district? The PTO Council (PTOC) seeks committed, collaborative volunteers to join the executive board for the upcoming school year.
Bloomfield Hills Schools recently hosted a workshop focused on fostering healthy technology habits. The event featured expert keynote speakers who shared valuable insights on mental health and practical strategies for supporting students. Attendees also participated in engaging breakout sessions and had the opportunity to hear directly from current BHHS students, who offered perspectives on technology use in their daily lives.
In February, North and South Hills French students embraced the spirit of Joie de Vivre by celebrating Jour des Crêpes with Madame Potier. They learned about the traditions of La Chandeleur, made and flipped crêpes for good luck, and engaged in winter-themed language activities.
Current grade 4 students and parents are invited to attend the Band and Orchestra Instrument Selection Night on Thursday, May 8 at Bloomfield Hills High School. Parents will accompany their child as they try each instrument to aid in the final fitting.
A grant-funded initiative allowed Bloomfield Hills Schools PREP students to explore visual and dramatic arts through hands-on classroom activities, artist residencies, and enriching field trips to theaters and art centers.
